Powerhouse Dynamics announces powerful new features & more support for commercial buildings

Boston, MA, October 3, 2012 – Powerhouse Dynamics, the creator of the award winning eMonitorTM energy and asset management system, announced today that they have released a new version of the eMonitor mobile app that adds powerful new features for managers of commercial facilities as well as homeowners.  The mobile app is now available for the iPhone® – including iOS6® – and the Android® mobile platform.
 
“Our customers are busy people.  Whether they’re homeowners or commercial property managers, they have limited time to focus on energy management.  Our latest eMonitor mobile app provides more powerful ways for these customers to manage their energy usage without having to go to their computers” said Jason Roeder, Director of Energy Products and Services for Powerhouse Dynamics.

The eMonitor mobile app is the first in the industry to enable users to drill-down to see real-time equipment operating profiles.  This allows, for example, a facility manager who receives a report of a malfunctioning roof top HVAC unit to immediately view the status of the unit via a smart phone to determine the best course of action for resolving the issue, saving valuable time.

The latest eMonitor app release provides a range of other new features, including support for Powerhouse Dynamics’ commercial thermostat that enables up to 8 different set points per day, giving managers even greater ability to fine tune heating and cooling systems.  “Many of our customers are now empowered to impress their own customers” said Mr. Roeder.  “For example, in the case of restaurant guests who feel too hot or too cold – the host can simply use his or her smartphone and make the adjustment on the spot.”

The new eMonitor mobile app is available to eMonitor users for download for the iPhone from the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play.
