OPC Foundation certifies zenon OPC UA Server from COPA-DATA

COPA-DATA was one of the first providers to introduce a fully-developed OPC client in July 2009. Around a year later, the integration of the OPC UA server into zenon followed, which has now been certified by the OPC Foundation.

Consistent and secure transfer of data is the key to reliable network communication. The international standard OPC UA from the US-based OPC Foundation ensures smooth and platform-independent data transfer between different systems. Users of the zenon OPC UA server can, for example, exchange encrypted data with a super ordinate system (such as MES or ERP) or easily communicate alarm information and acknowledge this information from the super ordinate system in zenon.

High security, simple configuration
With its well-developed security design concept, the zenon OPC UA server protects all data from unwanted access by hackers or malware. The integrated encryption technology ensures that the data transferred is not read off or manipulated. In a comprehensive quality check, the OPC tested the zenon OPC UA server in relation to compliance, interoperability, robustness, efficiency and user friendliness.
