KENNESAW, Ga., Oct. 15, 2013 – Automated Logic Corporation (ALC), a
leading provider of innovative building automation systems that
maximize energy efficiency while ensuring occupant comfort, announced
today Dave Robin, a senior research engineer with the company, was
honored with a BACnet International Leader of the Pack award at the
National Facilities Management & Technology Conference in Las
Vegas. Automated Logic is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security,
a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
Robin received the Bulldog Award, which recognizes individuals for
their dedication and loyalty to BACnet International and the BACnet
standard. The organization, which encourages the use of BACnet, a
communications protocol for building automation and control networks,
has previously recognized Robin for his contributions. In 2010, he
received a Leader of the Pack award for his continuous work in
upholding BACnet standards and for tirelessly pushing the technical
scope of BACnet in his role as chairman of ASHRAE SSPC-135 and member
of the BACnet International board.

Robin has been active in BACnet International since the mid-1990s and
served as a member of its Board of Directors for several years. He has
been active with the BACnet Standards Committee, ASHRAE SSPC 135, and
is currently leading the Network Security Working Group. He is also the
primary author and editor for the Data Modeling Working Group. Robin
was the BACnet Committee's vice-chair from 2004 through 2008 and served
as the chair from 2008 through 2012.
