alongside four other fairs: Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology,
Shanghai International Lighting Fair, Building Solar China and Shanghai
Smart Home Technology. Collectively, the five events, which spanned
across four halls and occupied 40,000 sqm of exhibition space, brought
together more than 700 exhibitors and approximately 50,000 visitors.
The platform proved to be a one-stop source for energy-efficient and
sustainable building technologies.
Commenting on the success of the show, Mr Richard Li, General Manager
of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, shared: “With increasing demands
for individual heating solutions in Central and Eastern China, the
market demand for HVAC technologies in these areas continues to grow.
The industry’s future is promising and has drawn the attention of both
internationally and locally renowned brands to exhibit at the fair.
Given the HVAC needs in the region, I am confident that ISH Shanghai
& CIHE will remain a great tool that helps participants reach key
contacts and grow their businesses.”
Mr Li Hongbo, General Manager at Beijing B&D Exhibition Co Ltd,
added: “Over the years, the informative concurrent events programme has
always been one of the focal points of the show. The incorporation of
high-level conferences and forums has positioned ISH Shanghai &
CIHE as the preferred regional destination for HVAC and building
technology-related professionals. They attend to network and promote
knowledge exchange among the industry’s experts.”
Industry experts impressed by wealth of advanced technologies at the European Pavilion
European Pavilion and domestic exhibitors presented some of the most
sophisticated and high-tech products as well as the latest solutions
currently or soon-to-be available on the market. For exhibitors and
visitors alike, the three-day event was an opportunity to meet
decision-makers, learn about new solutions from competitors and close
deals on-site. CLAGE GmBH, first-time exhibitor from Germany
participated under its sole agent, German Pool, to tap the Chinese
market. Mr Detlef Krause, International Sales Director at the company,
expressed: “We displayed our storage water heaters, instant water
heaters and a unique smart control system which can operate our instant
electric water heaters via Apple’s iPad. Visitors were intrigued by our
technology and were eager to learn more. We connected with a number of
professional engineers, technicians, traders and dealers. ISH Shanghai
& CIHE has helped us make business contacts and further expand our
network. Our product has great potential in the Chinese market and I
think our technology will definitely impact future bathroom and kitchen
solutions.”
Zehnder (China) Indoor Climate Co Ltd, loyal exhibitor of the portfolio
of ISH-branded events, is a leading manufacturer of radiators and
indoor ventilation systems. It attended the exhibition to further
promote its brand and products. Mr Deng Chen, Marketing Specialist the
company, commented: “I am pleased to report that our exhibition results
are very promising. The fair attracted large numbers of experts and
professionals from Eastern and Central China, especially from design
institutes, who are our target clients. Over the years, we have
witnessed constant improvements in exhibitor quality. With growing
demands for higher quality HVAC products, we are confident in the
future of the market in Eastern and Central China.”
Shanghai BOTO Indoor Climate System Co Ltd, another loyal exhibitor,
shared the same sentiment. Mr Liu Keming, General Manager at the
company, expressed: “This year, we showcased our flagship Eurohouse
indoor climate control system. Through connecting water boiler,
radiator and floor heating pipelines, it can effectively and
efficiently regulate heat to provide greater levels of comfort. Having
participated in the fair since its first edition, we have witnessed its
progress over the years and recognise the business potential within the
region. For us, this is an annual event we cannot miss.”
Visitors were equally pleased as ISH Shanghai & CIHE 2015 offered
them the chance to compare both local and overseas exhibitors. Visiting
the fair for the first time was Mr Qi Ziping, General Manager at Heat
Pump Unit Control Business Department of Jiangsu Jing Chuang Electric
Co Ltd. He stated: “I chose to visit the fair for three reasons: first
to learn new industry technologies, second to understand future market
trends, and finally to seek business partners. I am happy to say that I
have achieved all the aforementioned objectives. With the growing
popularity the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, I look
forward to seeing these technologies in future HAVC products. I will
definitely come back to the show next year.”

The informative and comprehensive concurrent event programme was a
focal point of the show. One of the featured events was the Shanghai
International HVAC Forum. Co-organised by the Heat Pump Industry
Committee of China Energy Conservation Association, International
Copper Association, and the Shanghai Society of Refrigeration, the
sector’s leading players from business and academia were invited to
share their views on current industry developments and trends.
Furthermore, other concurrent events included a seminar on Integrated
Application of Capillary Cooling and Heating Technology, Floor Heating
Installation Competition and product presentations.
First-time speaker and co-organiser of the Shanghai edition, Mr Song
Zhongkui, Executive Deputy Secretary and General Senior Engineer at the
China Energy Conservative Association, commented: “The Shanghai
International HVAC Forum, which focused on air source heat pumps
(ASHP), has proven to be great platform for industry specialists to
gather and share innovative products and technologies. It is also a
great place for attendees to seek out the latest industry trends and
developments. The amount of people that gathered in the conference room
proves the importance of this topic. Like the conference held in the
Beijing fair, the organisation of the conference here in Shanghai is
top-notch. I will continue to support the ISH fair conferences in the
future.”
