The GridWiseŽ Architecture Council (GWAC) will be having a face-to-face meeting hosted by OATI in Minneapolis on October 25 – 26, 2016.  The bulk of the meeting will be focused on beginning work on a Transactive Energy Systems Research, Development and Deployment roadmap.  At this meeting the Council will engage industry stakeholders from utilities, vendors, system integrators, technology providers, and regulators to gather input for the roadmap.  At the next GWAC face-to-face meeting, to be held in the February – March time frame, the Council will further engage the stakeholders for review and discussion of a draft roadmap.

The detailed agenda is still being developed but will include presentations and discussions around the vision for the future of transactive energy systems in managing and coordinating increasing penetrations of distributed energy resources, in grid integration of solar, wind and battery storage systems, in building to grid integration, and in applications within buildings and campuses.  The Council wants input on gaps that must be closed in regulatory, business, technology and operations to enable deployment of transactive energy systems at scale.  What are the most important outcomes for a research, development and deployment activity and on what timeline?

Control Solutions, Inc The Council welcomes active participation of interested parties.  Please plan to join the Council at this meeting on October 25 – 26 at OATI in Minneapolis.  The meeting is planned for 8AM to 5:30PM on October 25th and 8AM to 3:30PM on October 26th.  If you are interested in attending please contact Susie McGuire, the GWAC Coordinator, at gridwise.coordinator@pnl.gov.  A registration site is available at the  GWAC website.  At the registration site please be sure to look at the OATI Visitor Information Packet.   Attendees are eligible for the OATI corporate rates by calling the hotels listed.
