Building Environmental Systems Technology Overview  - NEW FOR THE YEAR 2000! NAIT is offering a new programming model for individuals who desire training in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industries (hereafter referred to as HVAC&R).

This new program initiative combines offerings of a one year HVAC Specialist Certificate program with the traditional two year Air Conditioning Technology program. This offering is intended to afford greater flexibility and opportunities for candidates to focus their training to particular facets of a vast HVAC&R job market place.

The two step staged training model allows students to receive short term entry level job readiness training in the one year program, or continue studies in the higher level engineering based two year technology program.

The training is designed around four concentrated eight week training periods per year with a work practicum opportunity for job skills awareness.
