Tridium Announces the Release of JACE-6
The Latest Addition of its next generation, high performance Java Application Control Engine Provides customers greater power, increased speed and more memory

RICHMOND, Virginia-September 5- Continuing its commitment for bringing Internet connectivity and the exchange of data closer to end devices and up to the enterprise, Tridium announced today the availability of the JACE-6, a new Java Application Control Engine designed to provide more power, more speed and increased memory. The JACE-6 is part of Tridium's family of next generation; high performance embedded controllers and includes a fast (524 MHz) processor, 128 MB base memory expandable to 256, and a math coprocessor for better performance. The JACE-6 also comes with the latest NiagaraAX 3.2 software and the Web User Interface, and Niagara Connectivity built in. The product's modular design and flexibility allows for easy installation and distributing connectivity and control more widely across all types of environments. The unit is expandable and features multiple I/O modules and plug communication cards that save engineering time and installation cost.
Additional key functions and features include:
Internal Battery Backup
Two 10 / 100Mbit Ethernet, RJ-45 ports on the CPU board
One RS-232 serial port
One RS-485 port on base board
One USB port on CPU board
NDIO port for direct connected VYKON IO modules
Two option card slots for communication option cards (Lon, RS-232, RS-485, etc.) and are the same as the JACE-200 cards
QNX embedded operating system
DIN rail mountable along with power supply and optional IO-16 and or IO-34 modules
The JACE-6 and the entire family of JACE controllers provides manufacturers, system integrators and end users with powerful options that are compatible and interoperable with most any system and at a low total cost of ownership (TCO).
