Integration Expands the Capabilities of the Crysalis Family of Commercial Refrigeration, HVAC and Lighting Controls

DALLAS – September 10, 2007 – TAC Com-Trol, a product line of commercial refrigeration and building systems controllers for retailers, has fully integrated its family of Crysalis™ solutions with PowerLogic® power monitoring and control products. PowerLogic, from Square D, is the leading power monitoring and control solution. Square D and TAC, a world leader in building automation, security systems and energy services, are companies of Schneider Electric, the world’s power and control specialist.

Crysalis products enhance a retailer’s ability to operate all heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) functions, conserve energy, protect food, monitor equipment, and lower overall operating costs. The Crysalis Enterprise Server (CES) centrally monitors and supports multiple retail sites through an intuitive web-based dashboard. Crysalis products were already integrated with Square D’s PowerLink lighting control systems remotely operated circuit breakers designed to manage the rigors of today’s high efficiency lighting loads. With the addition of PowerLogic, Crysalis and the CES enable complete integration between power monitoring, lighting, commercial refrigeration and building management controls over the end-users’ corporate network.

“The integration of Crysalis and PowerLogic is another example of the combined strength of Schneider Electric’s industry-leading electric and power products and TAC’s open system building automation solutions and services,” said Lonnie Laue, vice president, TAC Strategic Accounts. “The result is a one-stop resource for controlling multiple building systems and lowering energy costs, via a single interface.”

PowerLogic systems contain a tightly integrated network of software and meters and can span a single facility, a multi-site organization or a global enterprise. PowerLogic monitors key points and equipment, 24 hours a day, delivering timely, relevant information for monitoring and control. Advanced analytic tools and coordinated control capabilities enable users to quickly make and implement operations decisions. Together, this represents a fast and quantifiable return on investment, often within just a few months.

Crysalis products bring TAC Com-Trol’s line of commercial refrigeration controllers and equipment together with TAC’s line of HVAC control solutions. The Crysalis Enterprise Server unites these products to create a simple, cost-efficient and completely scalable system to meet a wide variety of supermarket and retail control requirements. Based on the latest web-enabled technology, the CES includes a comprehensive set of features and functions to provide a powerful network environment. All products in the Crysalis family are backward-compatible to protect the investment of Crysalis customers, including major national food retailers across the United States.
