QA Graphics invites K-12 schools and organizations
involved in sustainable projects to attend a free webinar and learn how to
implement energy efficiency education and further promote school efficiency. The
webinar will be presented on October 14, 19 and 27.
In this webinar, QA Graphics will demonstrate how educational displays provide a
creative and interactive way to demonstrate a school’s green practices.
Maintaining a sustainable school requires an ongoing effort from the operations
team, faculty and students. To facilitate this, providing education is key, and
solutions like an energy education dashboard are increasingly being used to make
sustainable education both fun and easy to understand.
Attendees will learn how this technology can display a variety of information
including a building’s live resource use data, interactive quizzes,
environmental tips, and animated demonstrations that show how sustainable
features actually work, like how a solar hot water panel system collects solar
energy to provide hot water, or how a geothermal system heats and cools a
building. Case studies will be explored, demonstrating how energy education
dashboards have been used to communicate resource conservation and sustainable
initiatives.

“Displaying real-time building data along with education is a simple way to get
everyone motivated and improve school efficiency,” said Dan McCarty, president
and owner of QA Graphics. “Showing students and faculty how much water,
electricity, etc., is used on a daily basis lets them see how their actions
directly impact the school and promotes an environmental awareness that will be
carried on outside of school.”
For schools or organizations working to achieve the U.S. Green Building
Council’s (USGBC) LEED certification, facilities can receive credit for using
educational displays that demonstrate why a building is sustainable. Energy
education dashboards can help achieve Innovation in Design credits including the
ID Green Education credit or the ID School as a Teaching Tool credit.
K-12 schools, architects, integrators, engineers, and anyone involved in
sustainable school projects should attend this webinar to see how an energy
education dashboard can be incorporated with an organization’s sustainable
efforts to educate and motivate everyone to save resources. To learn more about

The webinar will be presented on:
