Sontay, the market leader in field
control devices, will be exhibiting a number of innovative new products
including its Smart Sensor and the latest additions to the SonNet
wireless solution on stand G27 at this year’s Intelligent Buildings
Systems (IBS) event on 7-8 October 2015 at Porte de Versailles in
Paris, France.
Running for the sixth year, IBS is one of the only European shows
completely dedicated to intelligent systems for building performance.
“We are delighted to be exhibiting at IBS this year,” comments Sandy
Damm, Sontay’s Managing Director. “We have been working hard over the
last year to develop our presence within the French market. We now have
an office in Paris with a dedicated team in place, our French website
was successfully launched earlier this year and a French version of our
industry renowned catalogue is also available. It is an exciting time
for us and IBS is the perfect place for us to showcase our latest
products for the HVAC and climate control industry.”
On stand G27, visitors will be able to see the new Sontay Smart
Communication Sensor, which combines smart connectivity with
intelligent sensing. The sensors are tailored to suit any application
and offer complete environmental sensing within a single unit. For
added control, end-users can choose to have the collected data
communicated through Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP. The new Smart Sensor
can monitor a number or variables including temperature, CO2, relative
humidity, light level, air quality and fan speed.
Also on display will be the latest developments in Sontay’s SonNet
solution. Now incorporating a CO2 sensor, innovative I/O module and
volt free contact inputs for adding wired switches or pulsed inputs
from metering into the system. The SonNet powered by SIP solution
also enables simple integration with Trend and BACnet systems so that
even more installers can benefit from the advantages SonNet can offer.
SonNet offers system integrators, building consultants and end-users
the opportunity for smarter measurement and control without the need to
install cabling. This in turn will offer vast benefits for occupant
comfort and enhanced energy savings.

innovative new ST-Touch touchscreen thermostat will also be on the
stand, which allows for simple and effective temperature control.
Available in a 2-pipe, 4-pipe and programmable versions, the stylish
thermostat offers a new way to control and monitor heating and cooling
in both commercial and residential applications.
Visitors will also be able to view the new Space or Duct Mounted Single
Output Universal Sensors, which offer a cost-effective single output
solution based on the sensing element required. This can be indoor air
quality, CO2, relative humidity and temperature. A unique feature of
this range is its ability to automatically detect what sort of
controller input it is connected to – 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc – thus removing
the requirement for output jumpers, which can be inadvertently set
incorrectly. Just connect the sensor to the controller input and it
does the rest.
Sontay products and control solutions can help improve building
management system performance, reduce energy and maintenance costs and
increase occupant comfort levels.
