 The building automation industry is changing. With the development of smart buildings, the advancement of the Building Internet of Things (B-IoT), the increased discussions on cybersecurity, and various other topics expanding the scope of building management, we felt it was time to update the BACnet International Journal as well. Starting with the fall 2022 issue, the Journal will broaden its focus to cover not just updates, developments, stories, and news on the BACnet protocol but also the wider building automation industry as a whole. We feel this new focus will better serve our audience whose interests, everyday interactions, and responsibilities are changing with the times. We’ll still provide updates on BACnet topics, such as BTL testing and certification, ASHRAE standard news, The BACnet Institute, and new product listings, but we’ll start to cover other industry matters of interest to those in the building management field. |
