ROSSLYN, VIRGINIA, August 2, 2023 … The Lighting Controls Association (LCA), a council of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, now offers EE203: Lighting Controls and Energy Codes: 2021 IECC as a new course in its popular Education Express program.
Commercial building energy codes regulate the designed energy efficiency of nonresidential buildings to minimize energy consumption. The majority of U.S. states adopt model codes such as the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) produced by the International Code Council. The 2021 version of the IECC contains robust, detailed, mandatory requirements covering a broad range of energy-saving lighting control strategies.
Authored by Craig DiLouie, LC, CLCP, education director for the Lighting Controls Association, EE203: Lighting Controls and Energy Codes: 2021 IECC describes the lighting control requirements in this model energy code with a focus on what’s new over the 2018 version.
This course is registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES) and recognized by the National Council on Quality in the Lighting Professions (NCQLP). It is also required reading to prepare for NALMCO’s Certified Lighting Controls Professional (CLCP) exam. The Lighting Controls Association is recognized by the State of California as a continuing education provider.
Residing at the Association’s website www.LightingControlsAssociation.org, Education Express provides in-depth education about lighting controls technology, application, energy codes, system design, and commissioning.
