Catan building automation controller is based on the Niagara 4 framework
Building engineers can simplify room automation projects in hospitals, data centers, and commercial buildings with the new Catan controller family from Phoenix Contact. Catan is programmed with Phoenix Contact’s Emalytics software based on the Niagara 4 framework. This makes it easy to integrate with new and existing building management systems using communications protocols such as BACnet, KNX, Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, and more.
The family includes a flexible mix of inputs and outputs, which can reduce space and costs. Up to 16 external expansion modules can be connected via Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) communication bus.
An optional plug-in touch display can be used for local priority operations. The display panel can also be mounted on a cabinet door to keep the controller secure from unauthorized access.
