Contemporary Controls is celebrating 50 years in control! George Thomas established Contemporary Controls in 1975 as a system integration and consulting business focusing on microcomputer and PLC applications. One of the first projects was the development of a microprocessor-based ratiometer for measuring the fabric stretch between pull-rolls on a cascaded AC drive system.
Since then, Contemporary Controls has maintained a focus on innovative solutions for the automation industry, built upon technologies such as BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet and Cellular. We’re known for being a dependable partner with exceptional technical support. Contemporary Controls has won numerous industry awards, including Control Engineering’s Editor’s Choice award, Control Trends Awards Vendor of the Year and Best Technical Support Company. In 2015, George Thomas, was inducted into the Control Trends Awards Hall of Fame.
