Taipei, Taiwan, April 29, 2016 – Delta Electronics announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Delta Electronics (Netherlands) B.V. (DEN), has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Delta Controls Inc. (Delta Controls), a leader in building automation, at a price of 220 million Canadian Dollars. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of May, 2016.

Delta Electronics looks forward to enhancing its development and global presence in building automation through this transaction,” said Yancey Hai, Chairman of Delta Electronics.

Its current portfolio includes automation solutions for HVAC systems, lighting, elevator systems, energy management and access control systems. Delta Electronics’ building automation systems are capable of improving building performance and operational efficiency. Delta Controls’ products, based on the BACnet open protocol, can improve building operating performance to meet building requirements in energy and facilities management, HVAC, lighting and access control. Delta Controls’ global market reach includes a strong presence in North America. Combined with Delta Electronics’ sales offices in Asia, particularly China, synergies are expected to develop from integrating core competencies and sales channels. Delta Electronics projects that these synergies will enhance its capabilities in the global building automation marketplace.
