The Trane Company, a major manufacturer of residential and commercial air conditioning equipment, announced today that it is willing to enter into informal negotiations with energy efficiency advocates, state and utility representatives, and other air conditioner manufacturers toward the end of a reasonable upgrade of the minimum efficiency standards now in effect for residential central air conditioners and heat pumps. These products are regulated under the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA). Dynalite has finished commissioning The Superdome, venue for the artistic gymnastics, basketball and trampoline events for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. This state of the art facility features a Dynalite lighting control network to control and dim the main sports lighting, warm up courts, and function rooms. The system features the Dynalite MapView™ software for supervisory command, reconfiguration and monitoring of the system. The software also allows the end user to track lamp running hours and energy consumption. Dynalite has also commissioned systems at the Shooting Centre, and Velodrome Olympic venues.
