Alnor Introduces New Rotating Vane Anemometer
Skokie, IL - Alnor Instrument Company announced today the development of a new hand-held rotating vane instrument, the RVA+. This instrument is unique in that the four-inch head swivels 270° so that the user can take measurements in any air flow direction and still see the LCD display. The RVA+ measures velocity in fpm, mph, m/s, and kmh, plus it measures volume readings in either cfm, l/s, or cmh. The display also shows the air temperature.
The RVA+ is easy to use, allowing the user to take a single-point reading or a multi-point reading in a 'sweep' mode. When the measurement is complete, the user will see the average reading on the display. The instrument will recall the minimum and maximum readings of the most recent measurement. By having this information, the user can determine if the sample was affected by an errant measurement point.
Alnor Introduces IAQ Instruments To Measure Carbon Dioxide
[an error occurred while processing this directive]Skokie, IL - Alnor Instrument Company is now shipping two carbon dioxide meters for use in evaluating indoor environment conditions. Both instruments measure from 0-5000 PPM. The CompuFlow® 8610 is a simple CO2 meter using an internal NDIR sensor. One button operation starts and stops a sample measurement. Once the reading is complete, the minimum, maximum, and average measurement as well as the time length of the sample can be reviewed on the display.
The CompuFlow 8650 is a more sophisticated carbon dioxide instrument that also measures temperature, humidity, dew point, and wet bulb with one probe. It is useful for investigating and verifying room conditions.
The CompuFlow 8650 is a datalogging instrument that stores over 10,000 sample points. The meter has the ability to calculate the percentage of outside make-up air; this helps the user determine if ventilation levels are sufficient in office buildings, conferences rooms, shopping malls, schools, etc. The user can use CO2 or temperature readings to achieve this.
The CompuFlow 8650 measures temperature from 32 to 140°F, humidity from 5-95%, wet bulb from 40 to 140°F, and dew point from 5 to 120°F. An RTD probe can be plugged into the top of the meter to take additional temperature measurements such as higher air temperature, surface temperature, or true wet bulb readings.
