Onset Computer Introducing New Product
In booth #3736, Onset Computer will be showcasing its line of low-cost, battery-operated HOBO data loggers. Specifically, motor on/off, light on/off and door open/closed "state" loggers will be displayed in addition to indoor temperature, relative humidity, light intensity and its new carbon monoxide logger, all helpful in monitoring indoor air quality.
HOBOŽ Carbon Monoxide Logger
[an error occurred while processing this directive]The HOBOŽ Carbon Monoxide logger records CO levels, and stores the time-stamped readings in its internal memory, for upload later to a PC for analysis. The logger has software-selectable ranges of 0-125 ppm, 0-500 ppm, and 0-2000 ppm for optimal resolution and accuracy. Internal batteries provide power for 1 year, and can be replaced by the user. Over 32,000 readings can be recorded in the logger's nonvolatile memory. The data is read out to a PC with BoxCarŽ or BoxCarŽ Pro software, and can be graphed, analyzed or exported. The optional pocket-sized HOBO Shuttle can offload and restart the HOBOs where they are deployed, and later upload the data to a PC. Onset's HandCar software running on a PalmTM handheld allows the PalmTM to act as a data shuttle as well.
HOBO Carbon Monoxide loggers are suitable for monitoring CO levels in areas such as garages, loading docks, terminals, furnace rooms, basements and office buildings. The resulting data can be used to identify problems with furnaces, vehicles, gas appliances, ventilation, air supplies and flues.
The Carbon Monoxide Logger is not a safety/warning device.
Additional HOBO Features The logger's sampling rate is user-selectable from 1/2 second up to 9 hours. The HOBO logger measures 5.7" H x 2.6" W x 1.6" D (144 mm x 66 mm x 40 mm). The optional pocket-sized HOBO Shuttle uses a single button to offload, test and restart the HOBO loggers where they are deployed. The reusable HOBO Shuttle is then brought back to a PC where the data is offloaded, analyzed, and stored. Capacity is 468K measurements, which is enough for 13 full HOBO Carbon Monoxide loggers. The HOBO Shuttle's user-replaceable batteries last one year.
The HOBO Carbon Monoxide loggers and software will begin shipping in February 2001.
