Jordan Valve Introduces New Seat Material

Cincinnati, Ohio U.S.A. ~ Jordan Valve introduces a ceramic-based composite material called Jorcote to its' line of sliding gate seat materials. The new Jorcote seat material is suitable for all temperatures from cryogenic to the maximum rating of the valve body. The friction properties area comparable to TeflonŽ.

The sliding gate seat is at the center of most Jordan Valve products. It is comprised of two primary parts: a movable slotted Disc and a stationary slotted Plate. Together these two parts achieve levels of performance, reliability, and accuracy that is expected from Jordan Valve.

The Jorcote seat material is available on a wide selection of products including Pressure and Back Pressure Regulators, Temperature Regulators, Pneumatic Control Valves and Electric Control Valves.

Jordan Valve also offers a number of other specialty seat materials which provide resistance to corrosion and higher pressure drop capabilities for a wide variety of process applications
