Dickson Introduces NIST Traceable High Temperature Stainless Steel Data Loggers
Dickson is pleased to introduce the High Temperature Stainless Steel Data Loggers, models HT100 and HT120 (with piercing tip), to their current line of instrumentation.
Dickson's HT100 and HT120 Data Loggers feature a waterproof stainless steel case, which can monitor and withstand temperatures from -40 to 125C (-40 to 257F). These data loggers are ideal for tracking sterilization, pasteurization, autoclave and oven temperatures. Also, with their small size, 0.688" wide by 3.69" long (HT100), and stainless steel casing, they can easily be incorporated into your entire process from testing and manufacturing to bottling, packaging and shipping.
The HT100 and HT120 Data Loggers create a paperless solution by allowing users to easily download all data to their PC for viewing, graphing, or printing with DicksonWareTM software. DicksonWareTM software is also capable of real time monitoring and graphing.

Silent Witness Camera Certified Valid for Court Evidence
[an error occurred while processing this directive] Surrey, BC: Silent Witness -- a leading designer and manufacturer of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras has recently gained certification from the Kalagate Imagery Bureau in the UK. Digitally stored images from the Silent Witness SWC40R have been shown to be admissible in the Courts of Law in the UK and Europe and, by implication, the rest of the world.
The SWC40R is an all-in-one CCTV system that has a built-in digital image storage system which allows for the quick and easy retrieval of video images. The camera also offers many other advanced features such as built-in digital motion detection, alarm interface, intelligent light compensation and Quick Change Lens options.
Kalagate is based in England and certifies forensic imagery for the courts. After careful evaluation of the hardware and software of the SWC40R, the results were analyzed by Kalagate’s experienced forensic imagery analysts. They have concluded that the digital still images from the camera’s memory matched the quality of several accredited analogue systems. The SWC40R now ranks with such prestigious products as the Mitsubishi Europe DS100/250 series and a range of Alpha system products from Fast of Switzerland and Germany.
“We are very pleased to be granted this certification by Kalagate”, says John Jennings, Director of Sales and Marketing for Silent Witness. “The certification is an endorsement of the unique stand-alone qualities of the SWC40R. We are very excited about the possibilities that this will bring to our business partners and solution providers.”
The SWC40R assures that there is no opportunity for images to be manipulated prior to display in the courts. While possessing advanced features, the SWC40R system is simple in concept. It is the only system where the camera unit can be brought into a court and display the original recording directly through a court video monitor. The system eliminates possible evidence manipulation because the digital images are stored in and retrieved directly from the SWC40R camera.
Silent Witness Enterprises Ltd.designs and manufactures award winning video technology. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Surrey, British Columbia, Silent Witness has gained a reputation within the $2 billion dollar (US) security industry for its innovative approach to customer and market needs. NetSilicon & Adept Announce LonTalk(R) Embedded Control Module and Gateway
The GadgetNode Net+ Developer's Kit adds support for the ANSI 709.1 (LonTalk®) control network protocol to the NetSilicon Net+40 development module and NET+OS development environment. The GadgetNode Net+ Developer's Kit includes Adept's GadgetNIC network interface chip on a daughter card that plugs into the expansion slot inside the Net+40 development module. The GadgetNIC hardware implements appropriate portions of the lower layers of the ANSI 709.1 protocol. The Developer's kit also includes Adept's GadgetStack NS, a fully functional version of the ANSI 709.1 protocol stack ported to the NetSilicon processor and GadgetNIC. GadgetStack plus GadgetNIC provide a complete implementation of the 709.1 protocol. The developer's kit currently provides device driver and OS support for NET+OS (ThreadX on NetSilicon). The kit will also be compatible with NET+Lx (Linux on NetSilicon) when it is released. Other OSes will be supported based on demand.
The GadgetNode Net+ Developer's Kit provides an easy upgrade path to ANSI 709.1 capability for current NetSilicon developers. The daughter board fits inside the NetSilicon box and includes a direct mode transceiver (either FTT-10 or TP-1250). The built-in internet support of the NetSilicon chip and NET+OS combined with the user friendly API of Adept's GadgetStack' makes it easy to build 709.1 to IP routers and gateways as well as internet remote monitoring servers for 709.1 networks. The developer's kit includes sample source code for a web server that displays and updates 709.1 network variables. In fact the GadgetNode Net+ plus developers kit makes it easy to build gateways between 709.1 networks and any of the many other network protocols supported by NET+OS.

Panametrics - Two New Steam Flowmeters Have No Pressure Drop, Measure Mass Flow
WALTHAM, MA - The new DigitalFlowT GS868 and XGS868 Ultrasonic Steam Flowmeters solve the problems of pressure drop and rangeability found in other flowmeters, reducing operation, installation and maintenance costs. The GS868 is a full featured flowmeter while the XGS868 is a lower cost flow transmitter. Using Correlation Transit-TimeT technology, the meters are obstructionless, causing no pressure drop, so full steam power is always delivered. They measure mass flow rate of saturated and superheated steam over a very wide range.
No Pressure Drop or Maintenance
When measuring steam flow rate, pressure drop caused by flowmeters such as
orifice plates and vortex shedding, robs energy from the steam, reducing the
amount of power and heat delivered to the user. Using two ultrasonic transducers
that do not protrude into the flow stream, the GS868 and XGS868 are
obstructionless, causing no pressure drop and reducing steam generation costs.
There is no regular maintenance required with the new flowmeters, further
reducing long term cost of ownership. Their titanium transducers have an all
metal boundary and are not affected by erosion from droplets. They will not fail
due to thermal expansion cycles.
Wide Range of Flows, Temperatures and Pressures
A single GS868 or XGS868 ultrasonic flowmeter can cover a wide range of flows,
giving additional savings. Because of their limited turn down ratios,
conventional meters are used in multiple runs to cover all steam flow rates
during high and low demand periods. Using a single GS868 or XGS868 to cover the
full range results in lower capital and installation costs.
The GS868 and XGS868 can be used with wet, saturated or superheated steam. Turn down ratio is 150:1. Maximum temperature is 205°C with regular Panametrics transducers. Higher temperatures, up to 500°C, are possible with Panametrics' Bundle Waveguide TechnologyT system transducers. Pipe sizes can range from 2 to 48 inches. Pressures can range from 0 to 3200 psi.

ProAtion Internet Thermostats Control Thermostats from Anywhere
The ECT 1000 is a low cost controller for up to ten thermostats that operates independently but that can be monitored and settings changed remotely over the Internet, over a network or via dial-in. The ECT 1000 provides individual time-of-day temperature set point schedules for each thermostat or for groups of thermostats plus limitations on the amount the thermostat set point can be changed from the scheduled temperature. The thermostats are attractive, digital, communicating units that are drop-in replacements for most conventional or digital thermostats. The thermostats control the HVAC unit independently of the controller for improved reliability.
The ECT 2000 is a PC based controller that extends the system capacity. Models are available for 16 , 32, 64 and 96 thermostats.
The ECT 3000 is a network based controller capable of controlling very large configurations of thermostats, such as in large hotels.
The graphic user interface is via software on standard Windows PCs that communicate with the controller over a network, including the Internet, or via a modem dialing into the controller. The user interface software is required only when monitoring system operation or changing settings.
