uData Net Offers Zeus Wireless Backbone For Its uD3 Data Collection Network

Ft. Worth, Texas - November 28, 2000 -uData Net Corp., a provider of wireless data collection products to the utility market, today announced that it has selected Zeus Wireless, an emerging supplier of platforms that enable wireless data network solutions for commercial and industrial applications, to provide the wireless backbone for its uD3 wireless data collection network. This innovative alternative to traditional data collection systems provides customers with a cost effective, short-haul communications solution that will enable bi-directional communication between the host and other meters.

Using Zeus Wireless' 2.4GHz wireless technology as the primary wireless backbone for its wireless data collection network, uData Net's uD3 can collect historical data (data that represents time, such as, usage) or functional data (data that represent a snap shot like on/off or open/close) and transfer it through the network and then out to an existing WAN connection. uData Net's uD3 devices, such as utility data, electric/water/gas, integrated with Zeus Wireless' technology, easily interface into metering, sub-metering, and other electronic equipment, creating a true automated meter reading (AMR) solution with two-way communication.
