Siemens - Booth #2250

Tight on/off and modulating control needs are met with new butterfly valve assemblies

[an error occurred while processing this directive]Buffalo Grove, IL - The HVAC Products Division of Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., now offers a complete line of 2" to 12" electronic and pneumatic butterfly valves. These 2- and 3-way valves are ideal in applications requiring two-position (on/off) and modulating control, such as flow control of hot water, condenser water, thermal storage systems, and steam applications.

Two body styles are offered: wafer and lug. The lugged body is drilled and tapped to provide for removal of downstream piping at full pressure. A standardized cast-in top plate is an integral part of the body that allows for direct mounting of the actuators.

Siemens Butterfly ValveThis line of butterfly valves is available with either pneumatic or electronic actuators. The units are preassembled with Siemens actuators for reliable service particularly for high torque installations. A molded-in resilient seat provides for bubble-tight shutoff even up to the assemblies' full-rated pressure. Longer seat life is assured with the round, polished disc and hub edge, providing 360-degree concentric seating, minimum flow restriction, and lower torques.

A bi-directional adjusting stem seat is suitable for either vacuum or pressure and prevents external contamination of the entire stem area. The thru-stem design provides high strength and positive disc control. A standardized end connection makes installation or interchanging easy for the operator while a heavy-duty corrosion resistant top bushing assures long life by absorbing actuator side thrust. Also, an extended neck allows adequate clearance for flanges and insulation.

All 2- and 3-way resilient seat butterfly valve assemblies are tested at the factory to 110 percent of specified pressure to provide years of rugged service.
