Ortega moves "Downtown" to new Insignia Property

Insignia/ESG, Inc., a leading American Property Management and Commercial Real Estate services provider, has chosen Ortega's BuildingSmart Security and Building Automation solution for it's new "All Internet" office building in San Francisco, California.

Control Solutions, Inc Located in the heart of San Francisco's prestigious financial district, the newly renovated 300 California Street building will be the home of numerous .COM companies including, Buzzsaw.com (funded by Autodesk), and the hugely successful Internet division of the GAP.

The Owners of the property, ATC Partners of San Francisco, chose BuildingSmart over traditional security solutions because of the benefits Ortega's Web-enabled application provide property managers and owners. BuildingSmart was the only solution that allowed Insignia to monitor and control both the 300 California Street property and other ATC properties throughout the San Francisco Bay area simultaneously over the Internet. Also, the application allows for the owner or the manager to monitor any site directly from their home or from any PC with an Internet connection.

Using 300 California's existing 24x7 security guard manpower, Insignia will be able to monitor video cameras and alarms at multiple smaller commercial properties "remotely" via Ortega's Web-browser. This "cost effective" solution, provides the tenants and building management a level of security and safety not available with traditional security systems and also allows management to increase productivity by remotely visiting a building instead of wasting time commuting to each site.

Ortega's BuildingSmart solution leverages the communication information power of the Internet to deliver a level of unprecedented safety and security to Insignia's tenants at any location, anytime, and anywhere.
