AHR Expo to Visit Chicago Every Three Years

Westport, Connecticut - In what should be welcome news to HVAC&R professionals worldwide, the International Air-conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) will now be held in Chicago's McCormick Place every three years.  In a joint decision, International Exposition Company (IEC), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), announced the decision to visit Chicago on a three-year cycle starting with the 2003 Show.

Notifact and Com-Trol Sign Wireless Monitoring Agreement

Web Based Wireless System to Offer Plug n' Play Monitoring Solution for Supermarket Industry

Reliable Controls EWEB Chooses ABB'S Energy Profiler Online(TM) To Manage Load Curtailment Program

Oakland, CA, -ABB Energy Interactive, Inc. (ABB EI) announced today Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) has selected ABB EI's Energy Profiler Online (EPO) to administer its voluntary load curtailment program.

EPO's curtailment module essentially acts as a communications gateway between the energy provider and customers participating in curtailment programs. The system notifies customers via email or pager of an upcoming curtailment event, and those customers respond via their provider's Web site where they can specify whether or not they will cut back on their load and by how much. EPO maintains an ongoing real-time record of which customers have responded, which have not and how much load has been committed.
