KENNESAW, GA, August 17, 2009 – Automated Logic
Corporation announced today its WebCTRL building automation software was among
the first to receive the BACnet Testing Laboratory’s (BTL) Advanced Workstation
Software certification (B-AWS). This advanced certification is the highest level
of the three types of BACnet certification available for an operating system. B-AWS
was created when the former BACnet Operator Workstation Software (B-OWS)
certification was split into three levels with the B-AWS being the highest level
allowing the most feature rich monitoring, modifying, configuration, and
commissioning available.
“Automated Logic has always been a strong proponent of BACnet,”said Lauren Kolb,
president of Automated Logic Corporation. “We were a founding member of the
BACnet Manufacturers Association, now known as BACnet International. We realized
early on that this protocol provides our customers with the platform required to
attain the system integration so important to intelligent buildings today.”

Automated Logic’s WebCTRL has long been known for its superior graphics,
intuitive user interface, and operator access from virtually any Internet
device, anywhere in the world. What’s more, it combines these innovations with
traditional Automated Logic features like graphic programming, hierarchical
scheduling, and automatic setpoint optimization. Standard features like learning
adaptive optimal start and request-based control provide a comfortable workspace
for the least possible energy use, and independent tests show Automated Logic’s
demand level setpoint adjustment is the most effective and least disruptive way
to control peak demand.
For over 30 years, Automated Logic has brought leadership, innovation and order
to the building controls industry by providing intelligent building automation
systems that deliver both energy savings and occupant comfort. At its corporate
office in Kennesaw, Georgia, Automated Logic designs and manufactures control
systems primarily for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and
energy management of buildings. Through a network of factory-owned branches and
independent dealers, ALC’s systems are installed in commercial, educational,
