Affordable, Flexible, Energy-Efficient Control for
Every Architecture
Minneapolis, Aug. 26, 2009 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced a significant
expansion to its Spyder® family of controllers with the addition of BACnet®
protocol models. The new BACnet models offer powerful functionality and are
sized - and priced - for Variable Air Volume (VAV) and unitary applications.
“The addition of BACnet protocol is significant because contractors can now apply the benefits of Spyder controllers to substantially more applications,” says Dave Molin, general manager, Honeywell Building Control Systems. “Honeywell is investing in the Spyder line to help contractors win—and keep—more jobs and more customers.”
Spyder BACnet Models
The availability of the BACnet protocol provides openness and ability to use the Spyder controller with other devices or as standalone systems. Spyder controllers offer significant cost savings compared to proprietary systems and offer the flexibility to control and monitor any building automation process.
