(Washington, D.C. Aug 11, 2015) The Energy Management Association’s highly regarded Energy Management Professional (EMP) seminar program is now available through an online video study program. The package includes a seven-segment video series with more than 350 accompanying slides featuring case studies, sample questions and practice scenarios. The program is based on EMA’s Energy Management Guideline which details a comprehensive commissioning-based process for energy management projects.

Complete information on registration, certification requirements, etc. is available on the EMA website.

The EMP program provides a complete framework for a commissioning-based energy management process that achieves maximum energy efficiency and optimum building performance. The instructor for the seminar is EMA President Andrew Heitman, CxA, EMP, LEED AP, owner of Building Energy Sciences, LLC.

“The EMP program is a nice mix between energy management principles and existing building commissioning (EBCx),” said Steven Dodd, Automation Service Senior Sales Manager, Siemens. “It has the best content for EBCx that I’ve come across and will greatly benefit any professional looking to provide quality energy projects.”

Energy management professionals from manufacturing to engineering to facilities management praise the EMP program for its technical content, emphasis on operational savings gained by improvements in building performance and practical advice on making the business case for energy retrofit projects. The online seminar is approved for 12 learning units by The American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Program.

contemporary EMA is dedicated to advancing the quality of energy management services for the benefit of the building owner. EMA provides comprehensive training and education for energy management professionals, building owners, and other industry professionals.
