KMC Announces Update to Popular Actuator Line

New Paris, Indiana - August 27, 2015 - KMC Controls, a leader in building automation systems, today announced an important update to several of its popular actuators.
 
Effective August 24, 2015 the proportional inputs of MEP-4000/4800, MEP-4200/4500/4900, and MEP-7500/7800-series actuators are selectable between 0-10 DC and 2-10 DC using a switch or jumper.
 
Feedback starting points will also be changed accordingly:

If the 0-10 VDC input is selected, feedback options will be 0-5 or 0-10 VDC.
If the 2-10 VDC input is selected, feedback options will be 1-5 or 2-10 VDC.

According to Kevin Kezar, a KMC product design engineer, "These changes reflect our efforts to make our offerings more flexible for our customers - saving them time and labor during installation. We receive great feedback from our customers on a regular basis, and this proved an excellent opportunity for us to accommodate them." Kezar added, "The actuators are now more easily able to adapt to a wide variety of applications using a simple jumper or dip switch. We're confident that this update will be well-received."
