ATLANTA (PRWEB) JANUARY 03, 2019
BACnet International and Zhijiang College, Zhejiang University of
Technology, signed a cooperation agreement during the BACnet Interest
Group – China/Asia’s BACnet Golden Week. The agreement, signed on
November 12, 2018 in Shaoxing, China, provides a way for Zhijiang
College to fulfill its desire of providing education relating to the
BACnet protocol in the region.
Lin Peng Li, Dean of Zhijiang College, and Andy McMillan, president of
BACnet International, signed the agreement which details the creation
of a lab at the university providing students with the training ground
to expand their knowledge of BACnet which will ultimately progress the
protocol’s adoption. In support of the agreement, Delta Electronics
will be donating equipment to the lab to create a true hands-on
experience for the students.
“We’re very excited to enter into this agreement with Zhijiang
College,” said McMillan. “They will be a great proponent of BACnet by
training the next generation of building automation professionals. This
will only strengthen the industry and provide the opportunity for more
building owners and operators to benefit from BACnet.”
Timing of the lab opening is currently being finalized.
