The new enteliZONE Network Sensor, (eZNS)
has more in common with chameleons than with the other sensors on the
market today. With a fully programmable LED backlight array, the eZNS
uses color as well as an LCD display to communicate with building
occupants. This creates a different way of thinking about how a
building’s BAS system can communicate with its occupants.
In hospitals, the eZNS is used to alert staff and patients of a code in
their area allowing staff to shave critical seconds off of their
emergency reaction times. It’s capable of displaying a full range of
colors such as red when it’s in heating mode, blue when cooling, or
green when in a special Eco-Mode. Eco-mode allows for reduced use of
resource heavy, heating and air conditioning. In schools, the eZNS
helps keep students safe by alerting them of situations such as fire
alarms or school lockdowns. This adds another critical visual component
to alarms for students who are hearing impaired.
The color changing feature allows the sensor to fit a variety of
applications but Delta also offers custom button printouts orderable
straight from the factory. Hotel and Hospitality industries can specify
complex control strategies and still be able to get a low cost and easy
to use sensor for their guests to use. With all the latest sensor
options like CO2 and motion, the eZNS is capable of detecting occupants
in the hotel rooms, acting like a night light or just changing color to
fit in with the décor.
