New Book Shows How to Improve Planning and Management on Any Construction Project with Powerful BIM Tools
Building Information Modeling (BIM) integrates 3D and 4D to dramatically improve planning, schedule coordination, visualization, and communication for construction projects while reducing risks, errors, and costs. To show architects and building professionals how to capitalize on BIM concepts, tools, and techniques for their building projects, the McGraw-Hill Construction Book Series introduces BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING: Planning and Managing Construction Projects with 4D CAD and Simulations (McGraw-Hill; May 2008; Hardcover: $79.95) by Willem Kymmel.
This in-depth resource provides guidance on applying BIM to both new and retrofit construction projects. Readers will learn the concepts behind BIM and how to increase productivity and create cost-effective projects. The book’s very visual approach, with more than 200 photos, charts, and diagrams, illustrates BIM’s revolutionary process. Detailed case studies of domestic and international projects exemplify how leading edge companies are using this technology.
