New software driver permits rapid deployment of standards-based Automatic Demand Response

Lee’s Summit, MO March 14, 2013-Connexx Energy, Inc., a leading developer of applications and turnkey solutions that connect building and energy management systems together today announced the market availability of its new OpenADR2a CONNEXXION Driver-a certified Virtual End Node (VEN) driver for the Niagara AX® platform. This driver enables rapid and easy deployment of standards-based Automatic Demand Response solutions for Niagara based commercial deployments.

Demand Response plays a significant role for utilities in making sure enough electricity is available on the grid to meet demand and avoid power outages. It also allows buildings owners and facility management to leverage smart energy management practices and adopt demand response programs as a way of creating DR revenue and help manage and control energy within their buildings.
