Softing's new OPC UA Gateway adds OPC UA Server capabilities to Siemens controllers and provides systems such as ERP, MES and SCADA access to process data. The gateway is configured via an integrated web server and PLC symbols/tags are directly imported from STEP7 and TIA Portal projects.

The compact sized OPC UA Gateway supports data encryption and user authentication and is ideally suited to initiate a step-by-step implementation of an Industrial Internet-of-Things systems architecture.
