Sontay Takes The Pressure

Sontay, the market leading manufacturer and distributor of field control devices, is launching an innovative new pressure sensor, the PA-500.

This new sensor is an alternative to Air DP switches in HVAC filter monitoring applications, which only give an indication of when the filter is blocked. Rather than waiting for a filter failure to happen, the PA-500 provides an early indication of the state of a filter. This ensures that action can be taken before a breakdown occurs, improving the efficiency of maintenance regimes and minimising costs and disruption.

The compact PA-500 is supplied pre-wired, making it quick and easy to install on any project. It provides added functionality with a user selectable current or voltage setting and multi-range pressure sensing which is selected by using a dip switch. Manufactured at Sontay’s factory in Edenbridge, the new sensor is readily available and affordable.

Where applications require a higher level of accuracy in the readings, customers will still be able to use the current PA-267 and PA-699 Air DP sensors from Sontay.
