Automated Logic, Onity Partner to Create New Intelligent Hospitality Solution

KENNESAW, Ga., May 8, 2015 — With a new integration module from Automated Logic Corporation (ALC), hotels with Onity room thermostats can use the WebCTRL® building automation system as a total building management solution to manage guest comfort. ALC, a leading provider of innovative building automation systems, and Onity, a provider of energy management solutions in hospitality, are parts of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

WebCTRL currently manages heating, ventilating and air-conditioning, security, fire and lighting systems — all through a single user interface. By integrating directly with Onity thermostats in guest rooms, the Onity integration module allows theWebCTRL system to manage the equipment in the entire facility through a single user interface.

The Onity integration module communicates between the Onity local area network and the WebCTRL BACnet®/IP network, allowing the WebCTRL system to communicate with Onity in-room controllers. This gives the building manager a seamless interface to the entire system, making standard WebCTRL features available for Onity-controlled rooms, including thermographic floor plans, equipment graphics and
trends.

In addition to providing hotel management and maintenance personnel with a seamless interface to the entire hotel, the Onity integration module is compatible with the complete WebCTRL software suite, including:

• The Environmental Index™ tool, which monitors how well the system is maintaining comfort in guest rooms and other hotel common areas such
as the lobby and meeting rooms.

• The Energy Reports™ application, which keeps track of utility use and to measure the effectiveness of energy conservation programs.

• The EcoScreen® kiosk, which helps guests and employees appreciate the sustainable features of their hotel.

• The OpenADR™ add-on, which communicates directly with utility suppliers to reduce a hotel’s energy demand during critical periods that may allow hoteliers to receive reduced utility rates or utility rebates.
