NEW YORK, May 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ABM (NYSE:ABM), a leading provider of facility solutions, announced today that its Building & Energy Solutions Group has acquired the combined services of CTS Services/Facility Support Services, trusted providers of HVAC service and energy solutions in government, commercial and industrial buildings with over $35 million in annual revenue. CTS Services/Facility Support Services are headquartered in Beltsville, Maryland and maintain operations in Texas and West Virginia, in addition to the greater DC and Baltimore areas. The transaction was completed on May 1, 2015. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"The acquisition of CTS Services/Facility Support Services further expands the comprehensive portfolio of HVAC, mechanical and energy solutions ABM delivers throughout the greater DC and Baltimore areas, as well as expands our capabilities in data centers and high availability facilities," said Tracy K. Price, President of ABM Building & Energy Solutions Group. "Many of ABM's clients are seeking solutions to reduce their energy and operating costs and we can now self-perform these services for ABM's existing clients in an even larger geographic area."

CTS Services/Facility Support Services have been respected names throughout the greater DC and Baltimore areas for nearly 15 years. The combined businesses bring a vast amount of experience in mission critical facilities to ABM, ensuring that ABM's current clients have more service options with ABM than ever before. In addition, ABM can now offer an even more holistic set of offerings in facilities requiring distinct clearance levels.

"This acquisition supports our strategy to deliver ABM's entire portfolio of services in each of our major market areas. We are excited to introduce these best-in-class HVAC and Energy services to our existing facilities clients while also expanding our expertise in government and commercial mission critical facilities." said Scott Salmirs, President & CEO of ABM. "This is yet another tremendous value-add for ABM's clients."

Steve Wells, president of CTS Services/Facility Support Services, will maintain his current role and have responsibility for the operation of the business.

"CTS Services/Facility Support Services has a proud legacy of providing best-in-class HVAC services and energy solutions, and we look forward to building on our rich history alongside ABM," said Wells. "We chose to partner with ABM because they are a world-class organization that will provide our employees with a smooth transition and our clients will receive an uninterrupted delivery of 'best in class' solutions. My personal passion is service and I am proud of what the employees of CTS/FSS have built over the last 15 years. ABM was the obvious choice to help CTS/FSS grow and continue to thrive."
