The latest version, BACeye 2.0, gives BACnet users easy access to BACnet devices and their objects and properties.
To professionally commission and operate
installations based on the BACnet communication protocol, the latest
version of the BACeye tool from MBS has been upgraded with some
important new functions. The BACnet explorer BACeye 2.0 now supports
BACnet Protocol Revision 14. The extended watchlist allows display of
current values and changes to values, logging of properties and export
of the history.
The visualisation and analysis software
now also features device management functions and recording of BACnet
communication in package logs. This function allows recording of the
read and written values. The package logs can then be visualised using
suitable software (wireshark). BACeye 2.0 also fulfils the requirements
of the B-OWS (BACnet Operator Workstation). "This software update
offers BACnet users vital support with visualising, analysing and
monitoring their BACnet networks," sums up Nils-Gunnar Fritz, COO of
MBS GmbH based in Krefeld, Germany.
Features for documentation and clear visualisation
To document the information exchange,
features of BACeye 2.0 include generation of EDE files (BACnet data
point lists) and reading, graphical display and export of trend log
data. Schedulers can also be clearly represented and modified.
A special BACeye licence is included
with the MBS BACnet gateways as a USB card so that users can benefit
from these functions directly. This allows unlimited access to MBS
devices. "This update does not just offer direct benefits for our
existing customers," says Fritz. "It also makes the leading tool for
building automation an attractive tool for new customers."
