23rd & 24th September 2004 - BRE, Watford, UK
Buildings in the twenty-first century must perform significantly better in economic, environmental and social terms. Better performance depends upon the improved use of information and systems, which is why we have got to deliver more intelligent buildings.
ib2004 is a two-day business development and networking event, focussed around a high quality conference and exhibition. It is specifically designed to allow key decision-makers to develop a shared understanding of the wide-ranging benefits of intelligent buildings, and to create effective partnerships to deliver these benefits. All aspects of the business will be represented – from developers, construction companies and systems suppliers to building designers, property managers and building users.
The overall aim of the two-day event is to explore how improving the management of information in buildings can increase building and organisational performance. The vision of intelligent buildings has been with us for some time, but our capacity to deliver this vision can now be fully demonstrated and exploited. ib2004 is unique in providing a shared platform for the many industries that are converging to capture these opportunities, and to deliver the full benefits of intelligent buildings.
Jointly organised by BRE and i&i limited in association with the Institution of Electrical Engineers, the first day focuses on building management and control systems whilst day two features information technology and communications infrastructure.
The event culminates with a review of the best-practice application of intelligence in three building types – offices, hotels and retail – and a survey of international developments in intelligent buildings.
Event sponsors include Schneider Electric, AMX Corporation, Honeywell Building Systems, Invensys Climate Controls, Konnex Association and the University of Reading MSc in Intelligent Buildings. The event is also supported by BIFM, CABA and CIBSE.
