Automated Building Systems

There are so many names for the Art of Automating Buildings.  The one name, in my opinion, that has stuck and passed the test of time is "Environmental Control".  This name best describes what we are doing.  When we are controlling building temperature, HVAC equipment, lighting, life safety/fire, security or whatever, we are controlling our clients' environment and we are in the environmental control industry.  Since historically the industry has segmented itself, we will keep the individual headings for now, but one of the goals of AutomatedBuildings.com is to have all players at least acknowledge that they are in the same industry.
