The 2012 Niagara Summit taking place April 29 through May 1 at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas is in full swing. We have an enormous schedule of events and full agenda of educational content ready for delivery from our lineup of keynote speakers and 60 breakout sessions.

2012 Niagara Summit

In our general sessions we will be unveiling the latest release of NiagaraAX, Release 3.7 which contains several exciting new features. We will also provide a sneak peak look at the next generation of the Niagara Framework.

Also on the general session agenda, Jim Young, Founder and Principal of Realcomm, will lead a frank and open CIO/C-Suite panel discussion around how Building Owners Embrace Smart Buildings. Joining him on this panel are key executives from leading commercial, corporate and government organizations including Steve Messaros, CIO, Liberty Property Trust; Ryan Allbaugh, CIO, Childress Klein; Lawrence Melton, Assistant Commissioner, Office of Facilities Management, GSA and Gerald Niemi, Solutions Marketing Manager, Panduit. This promises to be a lively discussion,

In keeping with this year’s theme, Innovation (R)evolution, there are addresses from Scott Wayne of the Frontier Project and Jon Wee and Owen Morse from TPZ who will provide a different and very entertaining ways to look at innovation which I think you will find somewhat revolutionary.

[an error occurred while processing this directive] In our Breakout Tracks, we have a line up of sessions that address what's next for the technology, industry trends and how to leverage them into business opportunities. There is a variety of discussions and presentations related to topics centered on applications, business, the Niagara Community and developers from some of the industry’s leading experts and thought leaders. Some of these include sessions on “Big Data Revealing a World of Intelligence”, which explores analytics and making good sense and use of data to support operations and looks at some of the tools and strategies that are enabling the timely transformation of raw data into usable business insight; “Cyber Security” and what you need to be considering with regard to cyber security and today’s threats and of course, a session that looks at “The Cloud” and the new opportunities it presents to capitalize on its market potential to manage building assets and develop cost saving programs and offer additional services.

In addition leading two other sessions is automatedbuildings.com very own, Ken Sinclair who leads panel discussions on two of today’s hottest topics, “Open Standards, Open Protocols, Open Architecture and Open Web” and one on “Visualization”.

In conjunction with all this content and discussion, there is a jam-packed, sold out exhibit hall, filled with exciting companies and technology; many using this venue to showcase new products, applications and services for the first time.

To those of you who have signed up to attend, we look forward to seeing you. For those of you who have not done so yet, what are you waiting for?
