ARC’s 18th India Forum titled Driving Digital Transformation in Industry and Cities on September 8-9, 2020 was a virtual event and attracted over 300 delegates.  This two-day virtual forum provided end users, solution providers and decision makers an opportunity to learn from each other and get an overall view of the market and its requirements.  Typically, the India Forum attracts a large number of end users.  This time too we had a large representation of end users – both as attendees and speakers. The pandemic has changed how we communicate and collaborate across the world.  Companies that can adapt will survive and those that don’t will have to close their shutters.  

The welcome address by G. Ganapathiraman, Vice President and General Manager, ARC Advisory Group, India set the tenor for the keynote presentations.  After each presentation there were short Q&A sessions. Presentations focused on digital transformation initiatives covering the gamut from overcoming barriers to digital twin applications, cybersecurity, and future architectures. New approaches are disrupting established business models; and to remain competitive, companies are adopting these new strategies and processes. The presentations reiterated that:

·        Digitalization improves efficiency, flexibility, and streamlines business processes

·        Digital transformation has dramatically altered the global industrial  landscape
