IBS Invensys Building System, China, Signs Contract with Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant

Shenzhen Stone (China), fully supported by IBS Invensys Building System, China, recently signed a contract with Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. The project integrates BMS that not only includes BA system, UPS, CCTV and Security System, it also includes valve/actuator supply, installation, testing and commissioning etc. The BA will be the I/A Series powered by Niagara, comprising 7 UNC610 and 10 UNC510. This awarded project offers a tremendous opportunity for IBS China to tap into the supply chain of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, which is the first large-scale commercial nuclear power plant with total investment US$ 4 billion. The Power plant is located in Daya Bay, eastern Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China.

Located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant occupies an area of 635,000 m2, is the second nuclear power plant built in China and the first large-scale one for commercial purpose. The total investment came to US$4 billion. Equipped with two pressured-water reactors imported from France and Britain, the plant has an installed capacity of 1.8 million kw, generating electricity of 12.6 billion kwh annually for Guangdong, Hong Kong and some other areas in south China. The station was put into operation in 1994 and was technically checked and accepted by the government department concerned in 1996. It is a joint venture jointly run by the Guangdong Provincial Nuclear Power Investment Co. and Hong Kong Nuclear Power Investment Co. Ltd.

IBS China, along with its contractor, actively adopted the best practices in China market, and successfully bid for the project by offering the customerized system solution and innovative products. This awarded project offers a tremendous opportunity for IBS China to tap into the supply chain of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant.
