We are happy to announce a strong program for the LonWorld® 2003 Trade Fair and LonWorks® Conference, which will take place in Munich, Germany, October 15 –16th, 2003. New this year!
Echelon has added a pre-conference day for attendees new to the LonWorks community and those who want to get a solid understanding of the LonWorks platform before immersing themselves in the LonWorld event.  Pre-conference attendees will receive an overview of the fundamentals, terminology, and application of LonWorks networks. Based on Echelon's popular training course - Introduction to the LonWorks Platform - this session will provide an overview of how devices based on the LonWorks open standard connect and communicate over a network. It will also offer a high-level perspective on developing a LonWorks device and designing a LonWorks network.

Awards 
A Best Multi-Vendor Installation Award, open to exhibitors only, for the most outstanding multi-vendor application will be presented at LonWorld 2003. To qualify, applications must include LonMark certified products from at least 3 different manufacturers, the LNS® network operating system, and the application must be completed or scheduled for completion prior to December 31, 2003. IP integration and/or remote access over IP, though not a prerequisite, are recommended application features.
