HONG KONG -- The ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter has announced the Asia Pacific Conference on the Built Environment, Nov. 18-19, 2003 in Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel, Hong Kong.

The 7th in a series of events organized in the Asia Pacific region, this conference is intended to bring together international speakers to meet and discuss innovation and integrated approaches to improve the overall quality of buildings, while reducing environmental impacts.

Topics explored will include building facade design and treatment; HVAC systems design and upgrade; Ventilation for safety, health, comfort and efficiency; Indoor Air Quality; Airflow thermal modeling & simulation; Building diagnostics; Renewable energy applications and integration, etc.

The conference is organized with support from ASHRAE Chapters in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand along with CIBSE Australia and New Zealand Region and the International Society for the Built Environment.
