ANDOVER CONTROLS ANNOUNCES XPRESS™ DVR

Complete Box Solution for Digital Video Recording and Security Management

Andover, Mass. — Andover Controls Corporation, a leading high-tech manufacturer of integrated building management systems, announces XPress DVR, the first complete solution for digital video recording, access control, and alarm monitoring.

Perfect for smaller security management installations, but expandable to enterprise-level applications, XPress DVR provides access control for 28 doors and up to 78,000 cardholders, digital video recording for up to 32 cameras, a badging system, and a host of security management and monitoring utilities.

XPress DVR is pre-configured and ready to go right out of the box. Connect your cameras directly to a DVR unit and begin recording high-quality digital video immediately. No software drivers needed! You can be up and running — retrieving video files, manag-ing personal data, viewing history reports, and responding to alarms — in no time!

XPress DVR lets you retrieve and view recorded video simultaneously and search for events by time, date, location, camera, and more. View pre- and post-alarm recordings, and quickly assess an entire alarm event via a pop-up video window.

For installations where video recording is not needed, Andover Controls provides XPress™ only. This is the same easy-to-use, feature-rich package as XPress™ DVR, but without the video surveillance/recording capabilities.

Onset Introduces HOBO® Carbon Monoxide Logger

HOBO® Carbon Monoxide LoggerThe HOBO® Carbon Monoxide logger records CO levels, and stores the time-stamped readings in its internal memory, for upload later to a PC for analysis. The logger has software-selectable ranges of 0-125 ppm, 0-500 ppm, and 0-2000 ppm for optimal resolution and accuracy. Internal batteries provide power for 1 year, and can be replaced by the user. Over 32,000 readings can be recorded in the logger's nonvolatile memory. The data is read out to a PC with BoxCar® or BoxCar® Pro software, and can be graphed, analyzed or exported. The optional pocket-sized HOBO Shuttle can offload and restart the HOBOs where they are deployed, and later upload the data to a PC. Onset's HandCar software running on a PalmTM handheld allows the PalmTM to act as a data shuttle as well.

HOBO Carbon Monoxide loggers are suitable for monitoring CO levels in areas such as garages, loading docks, terminals, furnace rooms, basements and office buildings. The resulting data can be used to identify problems with furnaces, vehicles, gas appliances, ventilation, air supplies and flues.

The Carbon Monoxide Logger is not a safety/warning device.
