OSS 2000 is a software package that enables you to create your own visual interface to virtually any control or monitoring system. Wiremold^R Profile Series^TM is a Unique Wire and Cable Management System

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Wiremold Company has introduced a new perimeter raceway system that combines high capacity and cabling flexibility with a sleek new look. The curved surfaces of the Wiremold^Ò Profile Series^Ô Raceway conceal a unique arrangement of two wire and cable compartments and a dedicated channel for electrical and data/communications devices. This system also offers a corner drop feed option that allows vertical feeds without penetrating walls.

Two discrete channels segregate power and data/communications cabling. At activation points, wires and cables feed directly into a central device channel. Since there are no devices in the wiring channels, installation is easier and there is no loss of cable fill capacity. Integral, hinged sub-covers facilitate lay-in and pull-through installation and provide fully independent access for moves, adds, and changes.

ExperTune's new Loop Summary Table finds the best PID settings to use for loops that behave differently with varying conditions.

Optimal PID Settings for Varying Loops

Perform several tests on a loop and the table summarizes the results for you. For each test, the Loop Summary Table lists the tuning parameters, process model, model confidence, and relative response time for the loop. The table automatically highlights the most conservative and the average tuning values. The most conservative tuning values are useful in loops with varying conditions, e.g., temperature loops that heat up quicker than they cool down. They may be the only tuning values that are stable.

The Loop Summary Table saves the process model. So you can compare the process model today with the process model from a previous ExperTune test. This gives you a historical perspective, aiding in troubleshooting.

Young Environmental Systems Inc. introduces a portable Indoor Air Quality monitor featuring five channels and a 12-bit resolution datalogger. The YES-205 records and displays temperature, relative humidity and three pre-calibrated gas sensors simultaneously. The plug-and-play sensors are easily exchanged in-the-field with a choice of 10 gas sensors, CO2, CO, O2, N02, NO, H2S, CL2, S02, HCL, H2. With the built-in rechargeable lead acid battery, it can provide up to 10 hours of power for spot monitoring, or by using the AC, adapter, it can be used continuously for long-term monitoring. Accompanying Windows software is user-friendly and features fast downloading and professional looking reports and graphs, or can be easily integrated into spreadsheet and word processing programs to customize the output. Calibration and elevation compensation of the Carbon Dioxide sensor is easily conducted through the front keypad. In addition to 5 channel monitoring an alarm relay is available to connect to an audible or visual alarm for added security.
