Nose Monitor LonMark compliant in record time
(SAN JOSE, Cal.) - The Nose Monitor has been awarded certification by the LonMark Interoperability Association, a leading controls industry trade organization. Developed by Minnesota-based PureChoice, the Nose is an all-in-one sensing devise that measures and monitors the five key indoor air quality (IAQ) readings -- temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and organic odors and gases.
PureChoice project receives federal grant
(LAKEVILLE, Minn.) -- A project utilizing the PureTracP®P Air Monitoring System has been awarded a $50,000 federal grant. U.S. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham announced Monday that the project, called "Continuous Indoor Air Quality Monitoring in Federal Buildings for Energy Efficiency and Homeland Security," was one of 187 projects funded. That funding was awarded through the Department of Energy's State Energy Program Special Projects competitive grant.
Minn. governor approves indoor air quality monitoring in schools
(ST. PAUL, Minn.) -- Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has signed a bill that will help improve indoor air quality in some of the state's public schools.
The Environment and Natural Resources Finance law is a pilot program that focuses on monitoring indoor air quality (IAQ) in several Minnesota K - 12 schools with a secondary emphasis on energy conservation. The project, which begins next month, utilizes the PureTrac Air Monitoring System, a system that continuously monitors and reports environmental information, and a team of IAQ and energy experts.
