Buffalo Grove, Ill. - Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. introduces the new Electronic Bypass option for the SED2 family of variable frequency drives (VFDs). The SED2 VFD Electronic Bypass improves system reliability, streamlines installation, simplifies control devices, eliminates many conventional mechanical components and reduces wiring.
The SED2 VFD Electronic Bypass is packed with features including: 6 relay outputs, multiple inputs, 2 safety inputs, remote start, interlock and essential service and more. It offers a touch-sensitive electronic keypad for simplified operator monitoring and diagnostics. The Electronic Bypass option package is integrated with the SED2 VFD as a complete system, with all components packaged and pre-wired for quick installation and start-up. SED2 VFDs are used in HVAC variable torque applications for fans, motors, blowers and pumps in air handling units, chillers, condenser pumps, chilled water pumps, and cooling towers applications.
