Hello Ken,

I appreciate the time you’ve given in the past to hear EnOcean’s story. I sincerely enjoy the face-to-face exchanges that come with the  trade shows. I learn a lot and like to think I bring something to the table as well. If you are attending Lightfair, I hope we can meet while in New York to discuss what can be done do to provide your readers topical & helpful information.

Without further ado, my latest pitch …

Radio waves are in the thick of the race to make buildings more energy efficient. In this past year, EnOcean Alliance members have taken extraordinary measures to simplify the way that energy-stingy lighting controls are installed. Self-powered wireless sensors and switches are playing a vital role in our nation’s economic and environmental recovery.

In short, EnOcean’s growth and emergence as the standard for wireless lighting control stem from three primary forces:

[an error occurred while processing this directive] -  Caliber of EnOcean Alliance Members – Last year at Lightfair, the EnOcean Alliance officially took stage in North America with 50 members engaging their support. The number of participating Alliance members has now doubled. The list of members includes lighting industry leaders such as:  Leviton, Verve Living Systems, Osram Sylvania, Philips Ledalite, Tambient, Texas Instruments, Siemens, & Functional Devices.

15 EnOcean-enabled companies will be showing solutions at Lightfair 2009.

-  Merits of EnOcean-enabled Products – More than 300 INTEROPERABLE self-powered wireless sensors, switches and controllers now exist in more than 100,000 buildings worldwide.

While at Lightfair, look around! You’ll see more EnOcean solutions in production than the other wireless standards combined.

-  Increased Demand for Easy-to-install Lighting Controls. Despite the grim economic headlines that pervade the news, the EnOcean Alliance providing the market great news in terms of building automation solutions that have proven reliable and easy-to-install.
