Now in its fifth year, IBcon – The Smart, Connected, High Performance
Intelligent Buildings Conference, has grown to become the world's most
comprehensive and leading edge discussion on the next generation of smart, connected,
high-performance, green, sustainable, intelligent buildings. This
unique industry event is not about the traditional one building, one
system or one vendor smart building of yesterday, but rather the open
architected, interoperable, integrated, IP, IT-centric smart buildings
of tomorrow.
Smart buildings, portfolios, campuses and cities that strive for energy
reduction, operational efficiency, sustainability, enhanced occupant
experiences and financial optimization are at the center of the
discussion. IBcon brings together visionary experts from around the
globe to discuss the latest technologies and present the world's most
advanced, next generation smart building case studies. These projects
are no longer just ideas, they are real and are resetting the
benchmarks on what a building should look like and how it should be
operated.
Co-locating with Realcomm, IBcon 2016 will be held in Silicon Valley,
the epicenter of technology and innovation on June 22-23 (June 21
–Precon | June 24 – Executive/Tech Briefings). This year’s theme,
Commercial and Corporate Real Estate Innovation Starts Here, speaks to
the region's history for incubating some of the most successful,
visionary companies
and entrepreneurs in the world. From the invention of the first
transistor, to the PC and Mac, to Internet search, most of the major
technologies of today were founded on the achievements of the pioneers
in Silicon Valley.
Our close proximity to these successful tech firms is what fueled our
decision to host IBcon in the region, allowing us unprecedented access
to amazing speakers and visionaries from companies like Intel, Google,
Facebook, LinkedIn and more. Many of these global thought leaders have
agreed to speak on our education program which will cover topics such
as building automation systems and controls, building system
integration and other issues such as organizational alignment, skills
development and change management that will be necessary to facilitate
the intelligent integration of key business processes into the high
performance building
ecosystem.

Showcase which features 40 of the world’s most progressive and
successful implementations of smart buildings, portfolios and campuses.
These projects represent the next generation of open, interoperable,
integrated and IP-centric buildings. In an interactive showcase
setting, attendees will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with
representatives for each project who will share both their challenges
and successes and address energy conservation, operational efficiency,
enhanced occupant experience, sustainability achievement and financial
optimization.
Executive Briefing and Tour Day | June 24
By adding the Executive Briefing and Tour Day to the conference
schedule, we can now offer this experience to our entire community.
And, while this additional fourth day is
optional, this unique opportunity to meet with some of Silicon Valley’s
best and brightest will be well worth the extended stay! To date, the
